a deep ocean of secrets

A lady's handbag is a deep ocean of secrets. Or wait, maybe that is the Titanic necklace? Either way I'm positive that you, like me, overpack your handbag with everything you deem as "The Essentials". I'm delighted to share mine with you today! Here is what you will find in my handbag at any given moment. Right now my handbag of choice is this stunning, studded, cranberry-hued bag called the "Bella" in my friends at 64Bags. com! You may purchase this bag AND receive a discount in the link under this post. But right now let us see what is in my Bella...
The only facial makeup I normally use is this Mac Studio Fix (in C4) powder). It's amazing just how much protection it gives you if you employ a great amount, but it's also good at eliminating shine once lightly applied for touch-ups. I always fear that thick "mask" seem that additional foundations give you. With this, you may still see your skin through it so you can't ever appear overly composed.
My friends are most likely laughing that I included this one. I am sick quite often and with traveling to work in addition to it I take a great deal of precautions. I use a little Vicks in my nostrils during flights to keep germs off. Additionally, with being an announcer I can not risk losing my voice. The Vicks inhaler is also good at clearing my sinuses. Sure some folks say it's addicting, and "poor" for you etc. but I do not really believe it. Period.
At Christmas I received an entire collection of those cute mini glosses in various colours. They're so adorable and have a minty smell/taste that plumps the lips!
I love chewing gum with a hard candy shell. Nonetheless, it's just SPEARMINT I like. Not peppermint. I'm a bit of a diva when it comes to this...
A single girl in the city should protect herself, right? You will never know when you are going to find yourself walking into a car in a dark parking lot. A fantastic place to find an inexpensive pepper spray/mace like this one is Dick's sporting goods. They are usually close to the checkout counter. (Why else would I be in a sporty shop, right? My thoughts precisely.)
I used to carry a lot bigger wallet. I've since downsized into a slim zippered leather pocket in signature Tiffany blue which transports easily from a bigger daytime tote to a more compact evening clutch. I love that it's "designer" although not overtly monogrammed. Buy it
The luck of the Irish is constantly on my side so long as I have a adorable shamrock keychain! I have one that has been given to me by a few of my extended Irish family. I also have a green leather square (pictured here) with all the printed Houses of Parliament emblem that I lately got in London. I was fortunate enough to be invited into a trip and it was simply incredible. As a lifelong fan of British history, architecture and monarchs this was a tremendous honor. The keychain is a sweet reminder of this.
Always a fantastic idea! This "Pineapple Mojo" odor from Bath & Body Works is amazing but my other favorite scent is "Smart Cookie".
You will never know when you are going to run into a touch that could be beneficial for your brand or business. I kept mine simple with a friendly photograph and basic contact info. (No Bikini/Lingerie pictures. Although I have a lot of these it would send the incorrect message!) The best deal I've found online for inexpensive but terrific quality cards is
L’Occitane Lavender Hand Lotion
L’Occitane is your finest when it comes to lotions. This classic lavender blossom one is the best size for on the move hydration. They specialize in all kinds of travel sized toiletries. All of which I've discovered to be fantastic and well worth the price. (Attempt their Apple Almond shower oil!)
Your skin, especially the most sensitive skin on your face, will dry out mid-flight from this horrid poisonous air. It's so refreshing to moisturize your skin with a spritz of this Eau Thermale Avene Thermal Spring Water. Their line of merchandise is lovely. Check out them here
This is one of my most treasured items. While on a goodwill tour of Iraq the most memorable place I visited was a church in one of the military bases that has been accepting of ALL religions. Regardless of the type of soldier was from. I think that is beautiful! My friend Tracy Brooks and I both took one of those...later we cried naturally. (If you are reading this, sorry to call you outside Tracer! Ha!)
Perfume Rollerballs
I switch aromas pretty often. Before I leave the home I'll select a cologne but I've discovered during the day it vanishes so I want to reapply. The "Champs Elysees" cologne by Zara combines well over some of my perfumes! Super cheap too. The main Zara I use is known as "Zara Woman Oriental" and I highly suggest it. It smells VERY elaborate and has been just 10 lbs in the London Westfields Zara shop! The odor I opted to feature here however (in photograph) is my current favorite. Elizabeth & James "White Nirvana". It smells "expensive". Really "high end". The odor is stunning but not overpowering. I use it during the day/night as I see fit.
